This is actually a huge landscape by my standards. Shortly after finishing it, I was told by visiting, potential-client who knew my work (if not, obviously, how to gracefully deliver a compliment): “Hey…! This is looking pretty good. You know, if you keep going for this ‘big’ size and start doing oils, you could start making some real money.”
I love that comment. “doing oils”?……”real money”?. At the time I thought “Oh…this is like being on ‘Candid Camera’….don’t respond…”. Then, I realized he wasn’t joking.
