“After the Rains” (Spring, 2013)

Well, mud is harder to paint than one might expect (and foggy mist is not exactly a picnic to “draw”); I’ve laid this one aside several times over the past month, started over again at least a couple of times….and I finally pushed through it this morning.

The scan is, of course, pretty awful (see the vertical band of white-ness?).  The fact remains that I’d rather sit here painting than getting into that car and driving to damned Best Buys. It would be difficult to determine which I hate most….driving or shopping.
