I’ve never, in a lifetime of having terriers about me, kept a Jack Russell. I’ve gathered that they’re a bit too intense/focused/frenetic for even me. They are lovely, wildly amusing, and smart dogs, though…..my horse-women friends who keep them ADORE them. This one belongs to my friend, Carrie Lynn Downey (her pony, horse, and this dog were used in an earlier painting from this year….”A Peaceable Realm”). I love this one of her energizer-bunny Jack Russell….finally tuckered out and falling asleep wherever he happened to be at the time.
